Ghanaian giants Kotoko and Hearts have been handed a MASSIVE transfer boost after New Edubiase declared star midfielder Asiedu Atobrah a free agent.
The 20-year-old has gone AWOL since he featured for the West Africans at the 2015 World Youth Championship in New Zealand.
The youngster has refused to return to the club over claims of unpaid wages running into several months.
In a show of massive bitterness, club president Abdul Salam Mumuni has declared him a free agent and wants any club to move for his signature.
“He says he doesn’t want to play because we owe him. His contract runs out at the end of the season and so he can join any club of his choice,” he told Accra-based Happy FM
“He is free to join any club. We’ll not put any impediment in his way. If he feels that is the right way to go, it’s up to him. He can move on.
“If you have a player like Atobrah and he decides to abandon the club at this crucial moment, I leave everything to him and his conscience.
“Kotoko, Hearts and any other club can sign him. We leave it like that.”
Atobrah will be available on a free transfer after the end of the season as his contract runs out at the end of the term.
