Danish-born Ghanaian international attacker Kevin Mensah registered his first goal of the season for Esbjerg as they condemned Silkeborg to a 5-2 defeat on Saturday evening.

The 23-year-old stepped out of the dug-out at the Blue Water Arena to replace Norwegian international Mohammed Fellah on the 78th minute mark and he ensured his named was added to the score-sheet.

Mensah latched on to crossfield a pass from team-mate van Buren before steering home a well-placed drive from just outside of the box.

It was his first goal of the season for Esbjerg, a club he joined in January after leaving relegated Viborg.

He was born to a Ghanaian father and Danish mother and his brother Jeff Mensah plays in the second-tier league.
