Nigeria-eligible forward Kennedy Okpala is poised to complete a permanent transfer to SC Paderborn with reports indicating that the deal has already been agreed, subject only to final documentation and an official announcement, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The move is expected to be confirmed in the coming weeks.
With Okpala’s contract at Waldhof Mannheim due to run until the summer of 2026, the club decided not to cash in on the attacker, losing him on a free transfer at a later date.
According to Florian Plettenberg of Plettigoal, Okpala will officially join Paderborn in January.
The forward has enjoyed a standout campaign, registering seven goals and three assists in 17 league appearances, a return that underlined his attacking impact and persuaded Paderborn to move swiftly to secure his signature.
