Kelyann Bezahaf made his first start for the Olympique de Marseille senior side in the 2-0 victory over Troyes, marking a significant step in the young defender’s developing career.

The Algeria-born full-back took his opportunity impressively and received widespread praise for his performance as Marseille secured the win.

Speaking to Maghreb-Foot, Bezahaf’s agent welcomed the display and highlighted the progress the player has made since signing his first professional contract. The representative said the defender was gradually becoming part of the first-team group and continuing to build experience with each appearance.

A modern full-back

The agent also described the 20-year-old as a modern full-back, pointing to his willingness to carry the ball forward, his strength in one-on-one challenges and his physical power.

Those qualities could help Bezahaf continue his development under Bruno Genesio, as he looks to establish himself more firmly within the Marseille squad.

The right-back’s next objective is to secure more first-team playing time while also progressing with Algeria. He is already regarded as an important member of the under-23 national team and now wants to confirm his potential by reaching the next stages of his career.

B??ahaf is contracted to Olympique de Marseille until 30 June 2028.

Marseille will soon play their seventh-round match in the French championship against Angers. The listed odds are 2.05 for an Olympique de Marseille victory, 3.60 for a draw and 3.10 for an Angers win.
