Kano Pillars appoint Paul Offor as new head coach

Four-time Nigeria Premier Football League champions, Kano Pillars have announced the appointment of Paul Offor as their new head coach, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Offor was officially unveiled at the club's secretariat on Friday, signing a two-year contract with the Sai Mesu Gida.

The young coach, who previously led Sporting Lagos to promotion to the NPFL two seasons ago, takes over from veteran gaffer Abdul Maikaba, who resigned towards the end of last season.

Offor's appointment comes as a surprise, as the northern based club is known for highly experienced mangers.

Coach Offor will be looking to take the club back to it height after finish 11th in the league last season with 56th points, six points more than  the 17th team Sporting Lagos.
