Arnaud Kalimuendo is facing an uncertain future at Nottingham Forest, with Olympiakos interested in taking the striker on a six-month loan in January.
The 24-year-old joined Nottingham Forest from Stade Rennais during the summer of 2025 for 30 million euros, but has struggled to establish himself in England. Since August 2026, Kalimuendo has made only two appearances, including just one minute in the Premier League against Leeds United on 22 August.
A temporary move away from the club is now emerging as a possibility when the winter transfer window opens.
According to the Nottingham Post, Olympiakos have shown concrete interest in signing the France international on loan. The deal could be relatively straightforward to arrange because the Greek club and Nottingham Forest have shared ownership.
Eintracht Frankfurt also monitoring situation
Interest from the Bundesliga has not disappeared either. Eintracht Frankfurt are continuing to follow Kalimuendo’s situation and could consider making an approach for another loan spell.
The player’s future is expected to become clearer once the January transfer window opens, with a departure from Nottingham Forest appearing increasingly likely given his lack of involvement since the start of the season.
Kalimuendo remains under contract with Nottingham Forest until June 2030. The striker, who was developed by Paris Saint-Germain, is valued at 25 million euros by Transfermarkt.
His annual salary in England is listed as 3,618,734 euros, equivalent to 2,352,177,100 FCFA.
Nottingham Forest’s next fixture will be their sixth match of the English championship season, against Crystal Palace. The match comes as Kalimuendo waits to discover whether his immediate future will remain at the City Ground or take him elsewhere for the second half of the campaign.
