Juventus have made Olympique Marseille midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg one of their priorities ahead of the January transfer window.
The Serie A club are looking to add experience to their midfield and believe they may be able to convince the 31-year-old Denmark international to move to Turin, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Hojbjerg was close to leaving Olympique Marseille several weeks ago, but turned down the opportunity to join Newcastle United and stayed in France.
The former Tottenham midfielder has since returned to Bruno Genesio’s starting line-up. He has started six matches and scored once in six appearances this season.
Despite re-establishing himself in the team, Hojbjerg could still leave Olympique Marseille in January. Juventus are understood to be watching his situation closely as they assess their options for the winter window.
Juventus may face competition from within Serie A, however, with Fiorentina also reportedly interested in signing the experienced midfielder.
