Southampton manager, Russell Martin has eased concerns over the injury sustained by Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu, following his substitution against Liverpool, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Onuachu impressed in the match but was forced off the pitch, sparking fears over the severity of the injury.
However, Martin has downplayed the concern, revealing that the injury is merely a "niggle" that should not keep Onuachu sidelined for long.
"Paul's being assessed, so fingers crossed Paul will come through alright," Martin told reporters.
“It's not a bad injury at all, which is really good news for us, just a niggle, so hopefully we can manage that, and he can be involved."
Martin's update suggests that Onuachu should be available for selection in Southampton's upcoming match against Brighton Hove Albion.
