Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez has ended his association with agent Fernando Hidalgo following events during the latest transfer window.
The 26-year-old Argentina international was unhappy with the way issues surrounding his future were handled over the summer. Journalist Ruben Uria reports that Alvarez became disappointed with Hidalgo’s work and decided to stop using his services.
Alvarez is expected to appoint a new agent in the near future.
The forward had wanted to join Barcelona during the summer, with the Catalan club actively pursuing a deal for him. Barcelona were prepared to pay 100m euros for the Argentina international, but Atletico Madrid refused to allow him to leave.
