Liverpool made an approach to sign Barcelona and France defender Jules Kounde, according to journalist Ekrem Konur.
However, the full-back immediately turned down the offer from the Merseyside club, with Kounde not intending to leave Barcelona in the near future.
The France international is instead focused on regaining a regular place in Barcelona’s starting XI. He wants to establish himself as a consistent first-choice player for the Catalan side.
Kounde’s contract with Barcelona runs until the end of June 2030. His transfer value is reported to be 55 million euros.
The defender has made four appearances in La Liga this season.
