Ghana striker Jordan Ayew has been short-listed for Lorient’s Player of the Month of March.
Despite their difficult run in the French top-flight in the past four weeks, the Ghanaian international has distinguished himself.
He grabbed the only goal for Lorient in their 1-0 win over Caen – which happens to be their only win in the month under review.
He has contributed significantly to the team’s performance this season after featuring 23 times this term.
However, the 22-year-old must fend off competition from Le Goff, Benjamin Lecomte and Francois Bellugou to win the award.
Lorient are in the bottom three and host local rivals Stade Rennais at the Stade du Moustoir this weekend.
