Ghana defender John Boye says he is impressed with the competitive edge in the team ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations.
Boye is part of the 25-man squad assembled in Spain to prepare for the tournament.
Competition in the team has heightened as head coach Avram Grant seeks to trim his team down to 23 ahead of CAF’s list submission deadline today.
Boye, who plays for Turkish Super Lig side kayseri Erciyesspor, says camping has been genuinely competitive.
“The atmosphere has been great since I arrived here and you see that we are all doing our bid to impress the coach,” Boye said on Accra-based Asempa FM.
“It’s always good to see every one fighting for a position.”
Ghana will open their campaign against Senegal on 19 January before taking on Algeria and South Africa in Group C.
