The national team continued their preparations for the World Cup qualifier against Zambia this weekend, with a 3-0 rout of Nigeria Professional Football League side Plateau United in a scrimmage at the National Stadium on Wednesday.

Gent midfielder Anderson Esiti’s goal in the first half started the scoring for the Super Eagles, who started the game with what appeared to be the second team.

Coach Rohr  made a raft of changes at the start of the second half, bringing on the likes of Chelsea midfielder Mikel, Arsenal starlet Alex Iwobi, City striker Iheanacho and ex-Plateau United trainee Eddy Onazi.

In the 57th minute, Iwobi doubled the lead with a beautiful solo goal before adding more gloss to the scoreline with his second of the game in the closing minutes.

Barring any last minute change, the Super Eagles will not play any more friendly before their trip to Ndola on Saturday.
