Iwobi Celebrates Arsenal’s Europa League Quarter-Final Feat

Alex Iwobi is thrilled with Arsenal’s progress into the quater-finals of the UEFA Europa League following Wednesday’s 3-1 win against French club, Stade Rennes at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners bounced back from a 3-1 first leg deficit to advance 4-3 on aggregate. Gabonese forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored twice for the North London club in the game, while Ainsley Maitland-Niles got the other.

Iwobi replaced Alexandre Lacazette in the 70th minute of the encounter.

”Barging Into The Next Round Like … ?,” the talented winger wrote on his Twitter handle on Thursday.

The Nigeria international has now made eight appearances for Arsenal in the Europa League this season and has scored once with two assists to his name.

The 22-year-old who has also scored three goals in 27 Premier League appearances for the Gunners is expected to link up with his international teammates next week for the 2019/AFCON qualifier against Seychelles and international friendly versus Egypt.
