Ivorian midfielder Didier Kore has confirmed his readiness to switch allegiance to represent Ghana at the international level.
The 25-year-old, who plays for newly-crowned Ghanaian champions Ashantigold, will switch nationality if authorities make overtures.
The combative midfielder, who has been with the miners for the past four seasons is eligible to play for the West Africans since he’s not been capped by the Ivorians at any level.
He has revealed his desire to play for the country’s CHAN team and looks ahead to a potential call-up into the squad for next year’s tournament in Rwanda.
“I am ever ready to change my nationality and play for Ghana. I have been here for four years and I am enjoying my football here, I love Ghana.” Kore is quoted by Footballmadeinghana.
“It will be great to be part of the Local Black Stars team. I know the Ghana terrain very well and have played with or against all the players in the team.
“Joining them will never be a problem as the understanding both on and off the field is already there.”
Kore bagged seven goals for the miners as they won their first Premier League crown in 19-years.
