This comes after the goal tender announced his departure from the club with a farewell on his X handle on Monday.
"I needed wings to fly and you provide. It's a splendid time in the blue and white colours. Restoring the club to history with a trophy and flying the country's flag on the continent. I will cherish every moment. Thank you Rivers United."
Following expiration of his contract at the end of the season, the goal keeper becomes a free agent.
The Super Eagles invitee who joined the Pride of Rivers in 2021 won the Nigeria Premier Football League in the 2021/2022 season and was a quarter finalist in the CAF Confederation Cup.
He reported to be in the eye of 9-time champions, Enyimba and 8-time champions Rangers International.
He also said to be replaced by Amas Obasogie of Bendel Insurance who is said to have caught the fancy of Rivers United.
