Italian side Bologna join race to sign Simy Nwankwo

Serie A outfit Bologna are the latest club to be linked with Nigeria forward Simy Nwankwo, according to reports in Italy.

Nwankwo enjoyed an impressive 2020/21 campaign for relegated Crotone , scoring 20 times in 38 league appearances.

AC Milan, Fiorentina, Udinese and Monza are the other Serie A clubs who have registered interests in the 29-year-old.

Bologna have turned their attention to the Nigerian as plan B if their plan to lure Shanghai SIPG forward Marko Arnautovic to the Renato Dall’Ara fails to work out.

Nwankwo is Crotone’s all-time top scorer with 62 goals from 151 appearances in all competitions since joining the club five years ago.

His contract with Crotone runs out on June 30, 2022.
