Isayas Jira Bosho has been elected president of the Ethiopian Football Federation (EFF) for a further four-year term.
Bosho was unopposed and received 81 of the 88 votes cast at Tuesday’s elective assembly, held at the headquarters of the European Economic Commission in Addis Ababa.
First elected in 2018, Bosho will now serve a third consecutive term, which is due to run until 2030.
“I thank all the members of the Assembly for their confidence. Let us work together to improve football in Ethiopia,” Jira Bosho said.
His re-election reflects the confidence placed in him by the assembly’s members. During his time in office, he has played a key role in strengthening and developing football in Ethiopia, with particular emphasis on the sport’s growth and establishing stronger foundations for the future of the national game.
Hassan Suleiman Waberi, president of the Djibouti Football Federation and a member of the FIFA Council, also attended the elective assembly.
