International Friendly: Super Eagles edge Ghana

Nigeria's Super Eagles defeated the Black Stars of Ghana in the international friendly played on Friday in Morocco, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Two goals from Cyriel Dessers and Ademola Lookman gave the Nigerian team a 2-1 win over their Ghanaian rivals at Stade De Marrakech.

It was goalless after half an hour until 4 minutes later when the centre referee awarded penalty to Nigeria following Salis Abdul Samed's foul which saw him receive a yellow.

Cyriel Dessers steeped up to send the goalkeeper the wrong way and give the Eagles the lead on 38 minutes as the encounter 1-0 in the first half.

Ghana's push for a comeback in the second half was dented after Jerome Opoku was shown a red card on 56 minutes.

Nigeria doubled their lead through Ademola Lookman from an Alex Iwobi's assist on 84 minute.

Jordan Ayew scored from the spot with what will be a consolation goal after Bright brought down his man in the box 3 minutes after 90 minutes.

Nigeria play Mali next on Tuesday in Marrakech, Morocco.
