Hearts stop-gap coach Edward Ansah wants to be handed the job on a permanent basis.

The club’s goalkeepers’ trainer was appointed in an interim capacity following the dismissal of Herbert Addo.

The former Black Leopards goalkeepers’ trainer oversaw the side’s 2-1 defeat at Ebusua Dwarfs in an Elite Cup match on Wednesday.

But the veteran insists he can handle the top job in the capital.

“I believe I am more capable to handle Hearts of Oak though I have not coached any team. I would lead the team to a respectable position if I am handed the job,” he told Accra-based Oman FM.

Hearts lined up a number of coaches to take over the club including ex-Berekum Chelsea trainer Tony Lokko and Medeama’s Tom Strand.
