A Fine for Conte.

Today Gazzetta dello sport writes the federal prosecutor has decided to fine Antonio Conte and Inter Milan for Conte’s Middle finger towards Agnelli given in the Coppa Italia game at the Allianz stadium back in February.

Conte was found to have violated Article 4 paragraph 1 of the code of sporting justice. Inter are guilty by association.

Conte made the gesture toward the Juventus board members on his way to the dressing room which sparked much controversy and led to Agnelli leaving his seat having been upset by the vulgar gesture.

In a season where verbal and physical gestures have received extra scrutiny we saw Buffon receiving a match ban for blasphemy. Some would say these incidents meaning less and a 2000 euro fine is indeed meaningless for a man with great means.
