Everton midfielder Alex Iwobi has revealed his return date following the suspect ankle injury he picked in Everton’s 3-1 defeat to Manchester United in the FA Cup on Friday.
Iwobi in the 49th minute was substituted following a rash tackle from United defender, Tyrell Malacia which coach Frank Lampard was hoping was nothing serious.
“We hope it’s not too serious. It looks like an ankle ligament injury.” Lampard said.
The Nigeria international has however revealed on his social media calmed the nerves of all his fans claiming he is going to return “soon.”
“Appreciate The Love, Back Soon,” Iwobi tweeted.
The 26-year-old has played every minute of Everton’s 18 Premier League games this season and was recently voted player of the season in his club.
