Nantes FC has declared that their Nigerian winger, Moses Simon, will be out for the remainder of the season, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The announcement follows Simon's injury during Nigeria's 2-0 friendly loss to Mali in Marrakech.
The 28-year-old in quest to meet up with a through ball from his teammate, Alex Iwobi collided with the Malian goalkeeper in the first half, leading to his stretchered exit from the pitch.
Subsequent medical evaluation revealed a serious injury, specifically a broken fibula, sidelining Simon for the rest of the 2023/24 season.
