Injury blow for Nigeria's World Cup Qualifiers with Adams ruled out

Sevilla striker Jerome Akor Adams will be out of Nigeria's World Cup Qualifiers in September due to injury, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Nigerian international sustained an adductor injury during the La Liga match against Getafe on Sunday and will miss the team's upcoming fixture against Girona.

According to Sevilla's official website, Adams did not train with the group on Wednesday, and the club confirmed his absence from the Girona match.

The 25-year-old was included in Nigeria's 31-man provisional squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and South Africa.

With the injury, Akor will miss Nigeria's crucial qualifying fixtures against Rwanda and South Africa on the 6th and 9th of September, respectively.
