CO Korhogo hold a 1-0 lead over AS PSI at the break in the first preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup.

Zeba Alassane scored the only goal of the opening half in the 28th minute, giving the Ivorian club a narrow advantage as the teams went into the dressing rooms.

The goal separated the sides after the first 45 minutes and means AS PSI must find a response after the interval if they are to draw level in the tie.

CO Korhogo’s lead was established midway through the first half, when Alassane found the breakthrough. His effort remains the decisive moment of the match so far, with the score unchanged from the 28th minute until the half-time whistle.

The Ivorian side therefore take a 1-0 advantage into the second half, while AS PSI go into the interval trailing by a single goal.

Half-time: AS PSI 0-1 CO Korhogo

The match is being played in the first preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup. At the interval, CO Korhogo’s position is based entirely on Alassane’s goal, with no further score added before the break.

AS PSI will need to overturn the deficit in the second half, while CO Korhogo will look to protect the advantage they established before half-time.
