Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior has been suspended for four matches after being sent off against Villarreal, following an incident in which he grabbed an opponent by the hair.
The Brazil international received a red card after the Video Assistant Referee intervened. He has been banned for two matches for the offence and a further two for aggressive behaviour after his dismissal.
Commenting on the punishment, Vinicius Junior said: “I can’t remember anything like this.”
Real Madrid responded to the suspension with a 4-3 Champions League victory over Roma on Wednesday. The match was played in Rome.
