Nigeria’s Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen scored twice as Galatasaray beat rivals Fenerbahce 2-1 on Monday.
Osimhen opened the scoring in the 29th minute, putting the hosts in front before adding a second five minutes before half-time. His brace gave Galatasaray a commanding advantage at the interval.
Fenerbahce improved after the break and reduced the deficit in the 62nd minute, when Kahveci scored to raise hopes of a comeback.
Galatasaray, however, resisted the pressure and protected their lead until the final whistle. Osimhen’s first-half goals proved decisive as the Turkish giants secured victory over their fierce rivals.
