USM Alger claimed the CAF Super Cup 2026 with a convincing 3-1 victory over Mamelodi Sundowns, securing the Algerian club’s second trophy.

The Algerian side made the ideal start, taking the lead after only four minutes. Zakaria Draoui finished a move set up by Khaldi to put USM Alger in front before Mamelodi Sundowns had settled into the match.

The South African team responded with sustained pressure and were awarded a penalty in the 25th minute. Iqraam Rayners converted from the spot with composure to bring the score level.

Their equaliser, however, did not change the momentum for long. Saadi Redouani restored USM Alger’s advantage in the 37th minute, giving his side a 2-1 lead at the interval.

USM Alger extended their advantage 10 minutes after the restart. Khaldi scored his second goal of the match in the 55th minute after being presented with an ideal pass from Tendeng.

Mamelodi Sundowns were unable to find a way back into the contest as USM Alger remained tactically disciplined through the closing stages. The Algerian club controlled the game until the final whistle to complete a 3-1 victory and lift the prestigious continental trophy.
