Taiwo Awoniyi has added another achievement away from the football pitch after completing the PFA Business School’s Director of Football Programme, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Super Eagles striker was awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in Global Football Sport Directorship following the completion of the programme.
His Premier League club, Coventry City, celebrated the achievement with a congratulatory message on X, formerly Twitter.
“Coventry City striker Taiwo Awoniyi graduated from the PFA Business School yesterday (Monday). Congratulations on achieving your Diploma in Global Football Sport Directorship, Taiwo.”
Awoniyi, 29, also reflected on the milestone, describing it as “another proud moment away from football”.
The qualification adds to the striker’s development beyond his playing career, as he continues to build knowledge in football management and leadership while competing at the highest level.
Awoniyi will now return his attention to matters on the pitch as he continues his career with Coventry City and remains part of Nigeria’s plans at international level.
