Tom Iorpenda, the England and Nigeria midfielder, has joined Swansea from Huddersfield for €875,000.
The 21-year-old central midfielder has signed a contract with the Championship club running until 30 June 2029. His move to Swansea was completed on 31 August 2026, taking him from Huddersfield in League One to a side competing in England’s second tier.
Iorpenda spent the 2025-26 season on loan at Notts County before returning to Huddersfield at the end of June. He had joined Notts County from Huddersfield on a loan deal in July 2025, having previously progressed into Huddersfield’s first team after coming through the club’s academy system.
Born in London on 6 April 2005, Iorpenda is eligible to represent both England and Nigeria. He began his youth career with Brighton before moving to Huddersfield in 2021, initially joining the club’s under-17 setup.
The right-footed midfielder stands 1.90m tall and joins Swansea as the club’s latest addition in central midfield. His transfer fee is significantly above his listed market value of €175,000, with the deal marking a clear step up from his recent spell in League One.
Iorpenda’s arrival follows his return from Notts County and gives Swansea a player with experience of English league football at both academy and senior levels. He is registered as a Swansea player through the end of the 2028-29 season.
The transfer was completed on 31 August, with Iorpenda now contracted to Swansea until June 2029.
