Nigeria-Scotland centre-forward Samuel Duruh has joined Sheffield Wednesday Under-21s from Kilmarnock Under-18s on a free transfer.
The move was completed on 8 September 2026, with Duruh beginning the next stage of his career in England after spending the previous period of his development in Scottish football.
Duruh, 19, has played as a centre-forward and is noted as being right-footed. He stands 1.85m tall and holds Nigerian and Scottish nationality.
The forward joined Kilmarnock’s youth set-up in February 2025 after leaving Cumnock on loan. He later spent time away from Kilmarnock with Albion Rovers and Whitletts during the 2025-26 campaign.
Duruh moved to Albion Rovers on loan in July 2025 before returning to Kilmarnock in October. He then joined Whitletts on loan in November, with that spell ending on 31 May 2026.
His arrival at Sheffield Wednesday follows his return from Whitletts and brings an end to his time with Kilmarnock Under-18s. The transfer history records the switch as a free transfer, with no fee attached to the move.
Duruh’s recent playing record includes appearances in the Challenge Cup, Lowland League and Scottish FA Cup. He made seven Challenge Cup appearances, seven in the Lowland League and one in the Scottish FA Cup.
The move gives Sheffield Wednesday’s Under-21 side a forward who has already gained experience across several levels of Scottish football. His previous clubs include Kilmarnock, Cumnock, Albion Rovers and Whitletts, with those spells including both youth-team and loan football.
Sheffield Wednesday Under-21s are listed as Duruh’s new club following the completed move, while Kilmarnock Under-18s are his previous side. The transfer was registered on 8 September 2026.
Duruh has therefore left Kilmarnock Under-18s to join Sheffield Wednesday Under-21s as a free agent.
