Former Newcastle striker Alan Shearer believes the club saw only glimpses of how good Anthony Gordon could become during the player’s time in England.
Shearer says Gordon has not fully reached his potential at Newcastle and is now performing at a higher level for England and Barcelona.
“?At Newcastle, we saw only glimpses of how good a player Gordon can become,” Shearer said.
Gordon has provided four assists in six La Liga appearances this season. He has also scored once against Spain, Czech Republic and Croatia in the current Nations League campaign.
