Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane says he expected manager Michael Carrick to be dismissed immediately after the club’s latest Premier League match.
Manchester United were beaten 3-0 by Bournemouth at home in their most recent league fixture, a result that left the team 17th in the table.
Speaking about Carrick’s position, Keane said: “I was waiting for Carrick to be sacked straight after the game with Bournemouth.”
The former Republic of Ireland midfielder was discussing Carrick’s work as manager of the Red Devils following the heavy home defeat.
