Former Manchester United midfielder and captain Roy Keane has strongly criticised the club’s players after their 2-0 defeat by Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League.
Manchester United were beaten by the Spanish side in their second match of the league phase, with Michael Carrick’s team unable to find a response as Atletico Madrid secured victory.
Keane, who previously captained the Red Devils, described Manchester United as “a circus” while condemning the team’s performance.
The result adds to the club’s difficulties in the Premier League. Manchester United have six points and sit 14th in the table.
