Rivers United moved into second place in the Nigeria Premier Football League after being held to a goalless draw by Ranchers Bees at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano on Monday.
The matchday six encounter produced chances for both teams, but neither side could find the finish needed to secure all three points.
The result preserved Rivers United’s unbeaten start to the Nigeria Premier Football League season. Finidi George’s team have collected three wins and two draws from five matches, while also having a game in hand.
The Port Harcourt-based club now have 11 points and sit second in the NPFL table.
Rivers United will attempt to return to winning ways in their next fixture, when they travel to face Katsina United.
The draw also lifted Ranchers Bees from 15th to 11th position in the standings.
Their next match will take them to Ilorin, where they will play Kwara United.
