Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has advised his former club to consider bringing in a forward of Karim Benzema’s calibre.
Ferdinand believes Manchester United need to strengthen their options in attack after a poor start to the season. The club sit 12th in the English top-flight table after five matches and have scored only eight goals.
His recommendation is for Manchester United to pursue a striker in the mould of the French forward, with Benzema identified as the type of player who could address the team’s lack of goals.
