Real Sociedad’s Arsen Zakharyan earns praise after making personal scoring mark

Giovanni Battista, a journalist with Donosti radio, has praised the recent form of Real Sociedad midfielder Arsen Zakharyan after the Russian scored in two successive matches.

Battista said Zakharyan could also make an impact at some other clubs in Spain, while emphasising the positive reaction to his goals at Real Sociedad.

“We all celebrate Arsen’s goals,” Battista said.

The 23-year-old has made six appearances for Real Sociedad in all competitions this season, scoring twice. His total playing time across those matches is 90 minutes.

Zakharyan’s two-match scoring sequence represents a personal record since joining Real Sociedad. The goals have also provided the midfielder with increased recognition following a limited number of minutes on the pitch this season.

Battista believes the Russian has shown enough during his recent opportunities to suggest he could prove his ability elsewhere in the Spanish championship as well as in San Sebastian.

The latest goals have therefore marked an important moment in Zakharyan’s Real Sociedad career, with his two strikes coming in consecutive matches.
