RB Leipzig have expressed interest in signing Super Eagles defender Benjamin Fredrick, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The 20-year-old centre-back, currently on loan at Belgian Pro League side FCV Dender from Brentford, has impressed with his performances for Nigeria, starting in the last four 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Leipzig are reportedly preparing to offer €1.5m for Fredrick's services, with a 15% sell-on clause included in the deal.
However, it remains to be seen whether Brentford will be willing to sell the young defender, given his recent stellar displays for Nigeria.
Fredrick joined Brentford on loan in 2023, before making the move permanent last year.
He has made 11 league appearances for Dender this season, showcasing his defensive prowess and versatility.
