PSG and Real Madrid tracking Toulouse goalkeeper Guillaume Restes

Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are monitoring Toulouse FC goalkeeper Guillaume Restes as they assess their long-term options in goal.

Restes, 21, has emerged as a player of interest to PSG, who are considering how to plan for the future of the position. His potential and scope for improvement are understood to have made him an appealing target, according to Ekrem Konur.

The French champions are not the only major European club watching the goalkeeper. Real Madrid have also reportedly followed Restes’ progress closely, with both clubs attracted by a young player who is already gaining experience in professional football.

Restes, who is of Ivorian origin, remains under contract with Toulouse FC until June 2028. That agreement gives the Ligue 1 club control over his immediate future and places it in a strong position should interest develop into formal approaches.

According to Transfermarkt, the goalkeeper’s market value is estimated at 18 million euros. That figure could provide a reference point in any potential negotiations, although there is no indication that either PSG or Real Madrid has made an offer.

Toulouse’s priority will be to continue Restes’ development while preparing for the possibility of increased attention from leading clubs. For PSG and Real Madrid, the reported interest currently amounts to monitoring rather than an imminent transfer.

Restes could nevertheless become a player to watch in future transfer windows if either club decides to pursue its interest. PSG are also assessing several African talents in Ligue 1 as part of their wider planning for the years ahead.

PSG are next due to face Barcelona in the third matchday of the league phase of the Champions League.
