Fabio Pisacane said Cagliari had “lost with dignity” after the Sardinian side were beaten by Roma in the opening match of the ninth round of the Italian championship on Tuesday.
Cagliari put up a strong challenge against their more illustrious opponents but ultimately suffered defeat. Pisacane did not appear particularly disappointed with his team’s performance.
Cagliari will face another club from Rome in the next round, when they meet Lazio.
