Former Manchester United and Juventus defender Patrice Evra has announced the death of his mother, Juliette, following her battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Evra paid tribute to her in an emotional video shared on social media. Fighting back tears, he performed “Avant qu’elle parte” by Sexion d’Assaut in her memory.
Juliette had endured several serious health challenges over the years, including the amputation of her left leg in 2010.
Evra previously played for both Juventus and Manchester United.
