NPFL Postpones Rangers vs Bendel Insurance Clash Over CAF Champions League Duty

Published on: 17 October 2026

The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has postponed the Matchday 9 encounter between Rangers International and Bendel Insurance to allow the Enugu-based club to focus on their CAF Champions League assignment, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Rangers are scheduled to face Algerian outfit MC Alger on Sunday, October 18, at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Ogun State, with kick-off set for 4 pm.

The continental fixture clashes with the original date for the league meeting, prompting the postponement and leaving Bendel Insurance without a match this weekend.

The Benin Arsenals are expected to return to action on October 25 when they host Rivers United in a Matchday 10 fixture.

Bendel Insurance will be hoping to bounce back from their 2-1 defeat to Sporting Lagos in Lagos last Sunday. The loss left them eighth in the league standings with 12 points.

Meanwhile, the NPFL has yet to announce a new date for the postponed fixture between Rangers and Bendel Insurance.
