Milan are considering bringing full-back Zachary Athekame back from Lyon during the winter, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Italian club has opened discussions with Lyon over ending the 21-year-old’s loan spell early, with initial contact already made between the two sides.
However, Milan would need Lyon’s approval before any agreement could be completed. The French club could also seek compensation as part of the arrangement.
Athekame has featured in nine matches in all competitions this season, scoring two goals and providing three assists.
The defender remains under contract with Milan until the middle of 2030.
