Michael Carrick has called for a punishment to be decided as soon as possible in the case involving Manchester City and alleged breaches of the Premier League’s financial rules.
“We have encountered an unprecedented situation,” said the Manchester United manager.
Manchester City have been found guilty of breaching the Premier League’s financial regulations. The club could be expelled from the English top flight and stripped of titles they previously won.
