Medeama SC and TP Mazembe were level at 0-0 at half-time in a fiercely contested CAF Champions League match at Tarkwa & Abosso Stadium.
The Ghanaian side made an energetic start on home soil, pressing forward from the opening stages as they looked to unsettle TP Mazembe. Medeama’s urgency was matched by a passionate atmosphere inside the stadium, with the home team attempting to take control of the contest early.
TP Mazembe, however, remained disciplined in defence. The Lubumbashi club’s back line dealt effectively with Medeama’s attacking pressure, resisting the initial onslaught without allowing the hosts to find a breakthrough.
