Marcelo Brozovic enters three-way transfer race after Al-Nassr departure

Marcelo Brozovic has attracted interest from Fiorentina, Trabzonspor and Al-Ittihad after becoming a free agent, according to journalist Nicolo Schira.

The 33-year-old midfielder is now at the centre of a potential three-club battle, with all three sides understood to be considering a move for the former Inter and Al-Nassr player. Brozovic is currently without a club and could be available without a transfer fee.

Brozovic spent the last three seasons with Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr, where he made 124 appearances in all competitions. During that time, the Croatia international scored eight goals and provided 23 assists.

His departure has prompted interest from clubs in different leagues, with Fiorentina, Trabzonspor and Al-Ittihad all named as possible destinations. The three clubs are now expected to compete for the experienced midfielder, although no agreement has been reported.

Brozovic’s availability makes him an attractive option for clubs looking to strengthen their midfield. Despite being a free agent, his estimated transfer value is €8m, according to the report.

The midfielder joined Al-Nassr after previously representing Inter, where he established himself as an important part of the Milan club’s team. He later moved to Saudi Arabia and remained there for three seasons before leaving the club.

Across his Al-Nassr spell, Brozovic’s 124 appearances produced a total of 31 direct goal involvements, with eight goals and 23 assists. Those figures underline the attacking contribution he made from midfield during his time in Saudi Arabia.

Fiorentina, Trabzonspor and Al-Ittihad are now linked with the Croatia international as they assess the possibility of signing him. Brozovic’s next move will come after his three-season spell with Al-Nassr, where his performances made him a notable figure in the club’s midfield.

Schira reported the interest in Brozovic on social media, identifying the three clubs involved in the developing contest for his signature. The midfielder’s status as a free agent means the clubs named in the report can pursue a deal without negotiating a transfer fee with Al-Nassr, although his estimated value remains €8m.

Brozovic’s potential move would represent the next stage of a career that has included spells with both Inter and Al-Nassr. For now, Fiorentina, Trabzonspor and Al-Ittihad are the clubs reported to be competing for the 33-year-old, who is awaiting the next opportunity of his career.
