Manchester United have been stunned by a formal request from 15-year-old JJ Gabriel to end his registration with the club immediately and become a free agent, according to The Telegraph.
Gabriel, who is known by the nickname ‘Baby Messi’, has been with Manchester United since the age of 11. He is not planning to join another club straight away, but wants to leave the club.
Manchester United do not regard the situation as hopeless and hope to persuade the highly rated youngster to stay. However, those at the club have been shocked by Gabriel’s desire to depart.
