Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique said Matvey Safonov’s impressive display against Brest came as no surprise after the Russian goalkeeper made six saves in a narrow 1-0 victory.
The match, played in the fourth round of the French championship, was decided by a single goal as Paris Saint-Germain secured all three points.
“For me, there is nothing surprising about it,” Luis Enrique said when asked about Safonov’s saves.
Safonov has made seven appearances for Paris Saint-Germain in all competitions this season. He has conceded nine goals and kept one clean sheet.
