Liverpool are stepping up their interest in 18-year-old Mexico midfielder Gilberto Mora, who currently plays for Mexican club Tijuana, according to Teamtalk.
The Reds are expected to intensify their efforts to sign Mora before the January transfer window opens. However, they face competition from Arsenal, the reigning champions of the Premier League.
Tijuana are reportedly seeking about 35 million euros for the teenager, who could move to England in the near future.
Mora has made seven appearances in the current Mexican league season, scoring five goals and providing one assist.
