Kwara United technical adviser Ashifat Suleiman has challenged his players to build on their 1-1 draw away to Barau FC in the Nigeria Premier Football League.
The Ilorin-based side came from behind to secure a point at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano on Sunday, earning their first away goal in the NPFL this season.
Barau FC opened the scoring in the 41st minute when Anthony Sunday found the net. Kwara United responded shortly after the hour mark, with Goodluck Ogbolu equalising one minute later.
Suleiman said the result provided a platform for further improvement as his coaching staff seek to guide the team towards more positive results.
“This is the way to move forward. We will build on this result and continue to improve,” Suleiman told the club’s media.
The draw leaves Kwara United with 12 points from 10 matches. They are 13th in the NPFL table.
